OK, I'm on e-bay trying to buy one of these things. I'm appalled at the prices of the larger old skillets. I also am baffled about the numbers on the skillets. Like some are number 8. Some are number 14. I want more information about the specs of the skillets of various manufacturers at various times. i'm not sure where to look for this. What about Petromax, Robens, etc.

I'm under the impression Petromax makes their own cast iron. Can anybody confirm?

I just found Robens brand. The website seems to be robens.de but the contact information says Denmark.

Can anybody update with facts about these brands and other brands listed? I wonder if the list here is really exhaustive.
