Heir Presumptive to Romanian Throne edit

It should be mentioned that 'Leopold' was heir presumptive to his yonger brother's throne. He renounced his rights in favour of his eldest son William (who in turn renounced in favour of his younger brother Ferdinand). -- GoodDay (talk) 23:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

documents of the renunciations, 1880 and 1886 edit

printed versions of those documents, scanned, are currently (perhaps a few months) at this temporary wwebsite. There very clearly the renunciation of Leopold in 1880 mentioning his sons who received it; and the 1886 renunciation of Guillaume, mentioning no reservations nor any remainders to his eventual progeny. 82.181.234.211 (talk) 12:04, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. That site is a message board, which we don't accept as reliable sources; see WP:RS, please. SamEV (talk) 03:33, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

the printed book whose pages are there in that message board, is an earlier publication. People should be able to understand the difference between a discussion in a message board, and evidence from other sources pasted to a message board discussion. Your objection is not acceptable. As to wp:rs, people should assess the reliability of the scanned material, and not that they have been for now conveyed by means of a message board. And there has been no allegation that those printed texts would be false, since they surely appear as direct printings of the oroginal letters. I overrule your objection. 82.181.234.211 (talk) 01:26, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

the publication was a printed booklet titled 'la succession au trone de Roumanie', printed in about 1890s (however any printing date not mentioned in the booklet) at the Carol Göbl publishing house, Bucharest. an extant copy of this publication was found at the Carol I University Central Library in Bucharest. 82.181.234.211 (talk) 11:37, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
