Untitled edit

A (possibly) recently deceased woman is still covered under BLP to my knowledge. Without sources there should be no mention of suicide at all. My Spanish is weak, and I can't find English reliable sources for her death. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 01:06, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, the language you are referring to is Portuguese, not Spanish. Leila Lopes was a Brazilian actress, hostess and porno star. She appeared in several notable soap operas which were very successful in both Brazilian and Portuguese television. Jomig (talk) 12:00, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Age edit

She's not 40 years old. She's officially 50 years old. [1] Marcusbacus (talk) 18:26, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two of the article references note that she was born in 1969 and was 40 years old.[2][3] IMDB agrees with your source, but I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer (and IMDB is user editable to an extent, so it has lower priority). I'm slightly inclined to go with the younger age, if only because most women entering the acting and/or pornography business do so while relatively young, and her first on screen appearances began in 1990. If she were born in 1969, that would make her 21 at the time, whereas 1959 would put her at 31. Of course, this is just a general hunch; if you've got independent sources for her birth date (and unfortunately at this point the various sources are probably just quoting each other, or even this article), that would really help clear up the confusion. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 19:38, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
A brief Google search for "Leila Lopes birthdate" (w/o quotes) shows a whole lot of references using 1969 as the birth year. So I'm inclined to believe the later birth year, and thus the younger age. —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 19:41, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
