Avoid the second person

This article has a problem because it doesn't Avoid the second person. I just edited it and that helped a little, but I think there's a lot more to do in this respect. I will try to edit it further soon. On a side note, I'm having problems with linking to a section so if anyone can correct the above link so that it works I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. --luckymustard 19:03, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Episode V

Are we sure about the ordering of the last two levels? seems stupid to me. ....(Complain)(Let us to it pell-mell) 07:43, 9 August 2006 (UTC) I dont know how, but someone should add the demo as a link.

Information for episode VI levels

Where did the levels for episode VI come from?

XBOX 360 Achievements, or whatever the hell it's called. ....(Complain)(Let us to it pell-mell) 08:59, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm not entirely sure its right though, especially as LucasArts have said nothing about it. Plus the ordering of the last two levels is impossible, the duel couldn't happen because Lando would have blown the Death Star up in the previous level, Luke, Vader and the Emperor would be dead! Impossibilities aside, the XBOX 360 Achievements link got deleted, so i'm not that sure. Gran2 10:35, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Release Date?

OK, I'm not sure when this game is coming out. Is it Sep. 7th or Sep. 12? Ric36 17:39, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I heard September 12 but I'm not exactly sure. Sasuke-kun27 17:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[1] On GameSpot it says Sep. 7th. Ric36 15:05, 20 August 2006 (UTC) I have heard from my sources that the game is due to ship September 11th in the UK, September 12th in the US and September 13th in all other territories. WodeRaider' 16:13, 06 September 2006 (GMT)

Questions

Do the Characters from the first game get the special abilities too? Or just these?

I assume they just take there abilities from the first game ie. Super High Jump, Force, Grappling hook etc. Gran2 10:18, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

So who shoots first, Han or Greedo? I know that this question doesn't belong here on this page but I don't know where to go with it so, does anyone know what form of combat Shaak Ti uses?

She uses the Form II Makashi lightsaber combat style. For more info on it see this.T-borg 09:43, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

So who shoots first, Han or Greedo? it's greedo but han shoots faster This is not a relevant question. Go to Wikipedia:Reference Desk or Han Shot First. bibliomaniac15 23:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

PC Exclusive Characters

It says that the four Characters not in the first game are possibly the PC exclusive ones, does anybody know which characters these are?

Zam Wessel, a Gungan, a STAP and a Tusken Raider (Even though they're already included) were the characters not in the first game, if I remember correctly. I don't think they're going to be PC exclusive though, ONM UK mentioned them being in the GC version. Kamek24 10:25, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Lyn Me

Where does it say that Lyn Me is in the game? I haven't seen anything about her.

It hasn't been confimred she's playable, but the GameSpot Return of the Jedi did say she was in the Jabba's Palace level. Gran2 07:49, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Unconfirmed/Unplayable Characters

I'm confused about this section. Unplayable and Unknown are obvious, but what does it mean by N/A? Does that mean they're not in the game at all? Kamek 15:44, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

NA means unknown, they were all the same thing once, people changed them, I think I may have a few times, I'll change them all to Unknown. Gran2 15:48, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
FYI, check N/a. --luckymustard 21:16, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Article feels bloated

Just arrived on this page and it seems like there's a lot of detail that isn't necessary. Although I appreciate the amount of work here it feels as though a long list of every character's abilities and every single level is not needed and detracts from the article. I would suggest that some example levels are mentioned and the characters abilities are touched upon rather than the two massive lists we currently have. I'll be more than happy to do this if I can get some agreement from the authors of the page. Speedything 13:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

I do think the playable characters and level need to remain. But the unplayble/unconfitmed character section doesn't really serve a point. We can put them on the playable character section when they are confirmed as playable. And Bounty hunter mode doesn't really need a whole section to itself, in my opinion. Maybe a paragraph, but not what it is. For example, listing the playable characters for it isn't necessary, you could just say that all bounty hunters from the game are playable in bounty hunter mode. But anyway, I agree that some needs touching up. But not necessarily the levels or characters abilities (although I kind off, slightly, see your point) as they are informative. Wow that was long. Gran2 15:07, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE ARTICLE!?!??

All the vehicle info and after that is on the right side of the page. What's up with that? I can't fix it. KdogDS 22:18, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't think we have to worry about it any more.May the Edit be with you. T-borg (drop me a line) 22:28, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
I fixed it. A user added some extra information to one of the tables, but accidently messed up the formatting.SkorponokX 22:32, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

It's true, here in the UK it has been released. Although I think its just some shops releasing it early. I got the PC and DS version earlier from GAME. The banthas are awesome! Gran2 14:08, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Eh, they're kinda slow. I noted this on the page.86.142.132.24 14:43, 9 September 2006 (UTC) All I know is I went into GAME yesterday (Friday) and it was on sale - One of my friends works there, and he said somewhere had broken the street date. This meant, by GAME policy, they could sell it too! This also happened with Dead Rising, but only by one day AFAIK.
I would put it on the Wiki page myself, but I don't know the day it was 'released'. JaffaCakeLover 19:05, 9 September 2006 (GMT)

Sources for the Bounty Hunter Levels?

Now that the 10 bounty hunter levels have been listed, where is the source of the information? 66.82.9.42 19:35, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

I assumed someone had got that far and actually played them in the game. I haven't got that far so I can't verify it yet. Gran2 20:14, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
I added them last night as I beat all the bounty hunter levels after I beat the Episodes. I have screen shots of it if you don't believe it. Djarum0 06:37, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
No need to, I just wanted to make sure. 66.82.9.58 22:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

A few questions

Is the game free roaming? (with a map also like jak gta and state of emergency?) or is it like the first game where you where free only in a parking lot and inside a restaurant? Secondly i would like to ask about the characters are there more characters than the original excluding the bonus characters that can be unlocked using a memory card with a lego star wars original game save? Please answer as quick as you can—Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.76.46.249 (talkcontribs)

This isn't really the place to ask questions... Forums'd be more suitable...
Anyway, 1) No, it's the same as the first game, only you're in Mos Eisley cantina now. 2) There are probably about the same amount (50+), I don't know the exact numbers. +Fin- 15:43, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Freeze

in the ewok level in return of the jedi, when i use the at-st walker to destroy a gate, the game freezes on me. i played this level 2 time already in story mode, but it still freezes on me. what should i do? i dont even know where my gamecube manuel is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.229.47.92 (talkcontribs)

As many as you want, but you can only have two at one time. You sound like someone who has never actually played the game. Now please don't do this again. Gran2 16:06, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Levels and vehicles

Where did the level info and vehicle info go? Gran2, you said we are not allowed to have levels on here. What do you mean? Who says we can't have levels?L0b0t 15:53, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Falcon9x5 removed as 'its against WP:Not'. I actually read through the whole, thing and I didn't see a single about not listing characters or levels. But he used it as proof, and I wasn't going to put them back on in case I got warned/blocked. If we can all agree to it here, I have no problem with having it back, in fact I want it. Gran2 16:10, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the fast response. I say we put it back in. I've been over WP:NOT backwards and forwards and see nothing on point.L0b0t 16:42, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

The level information has been deleted again. I too looked at WP:NOT, and all it says about game guides (which is what Falcon9x5 refered to the section as) is that wikipedia shouldn't be including walkthrough type material. A list of levels with characters/enemies/etc. is not a walkthrough. I don't want to start an edit war, but it doesn't appear like he's reading this part of the talk page. I'll put it back, with a notice not to delete it without coming here first. –Dvandersluis 13:55, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi hi. Sorry, I'm on a semi-wikibreak at the moment, and am generally just deleting things on sight - haven't checked my watchlist in ages. Apologies for this. I do think the list of levels falls under game guide/instruction manual, but at the moment, I'm not going to debate it. As it is is fine. Sorry again for not reading the talk page :S Fin© 17:59, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

The Title

It's II, not 2. I know that that's a ridiculous detail to point out, but Star Wars commonly uses roman numerals and I think it should be changed back to II. 66.82.9.53 00:13, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Edit, it's also how LEGO's official website spells it [3]. TJ Spyke 05:02, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, the article WAS officially LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. (Stop saying CORRECT in caps as if it's a big deal, it's getting on my nerves). However, some jerk took out the capitals of LEGO, and, stupid things say you can't put it back. There is no way we can make it the correct title besides a copy+paste move. If not, we're stuck with one of the two being incorrect: LEGO being Lego, or II being 2. I request we have a copy-paste move, so once we create a new article, all we need to do is delete it. The CORRECT article should be CORRECT, but there's no way to make it CORRECT besides copy+pasting to the CORRECT move. DarknessLord 23:01, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, an admin can move it to the correct page, just not us regular editors. TJ Spyke 02:30, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

About "The Title"

Someone must have moved it because I've gone on the article and it's now called "Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy". --82.39.140.191 10:43, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Indie.Bones I've just done the copy/paste thing so the page is now called "LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy" --Indie.Bones 10:53, 12 October 2006 (UTC)Indie.Bones

It appears someone messed up a page move or something as the article now justs redirects to itself. Could someone with more experience fix it. SkorponokX 11:13, 12 October 2006 (UTC) (I see its fixed thanks Kinslayer)

No problem, that moron Indie Bones just deleted the entire article and put up a looping redirect that didn't go anywhere. If he'd bothered to read the discussion, he'd have seen why it's at Lego and not LEGO. There's being bold and then theres being stupid. The Kinslayer 11:16, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

level reviews

I don't think that that those level reviews in the level section should be in this article they should be here. These seem like these could of just been written up and that thats not allowed or be copied straight off of a website.I took off previews of the levels before the game came out because they came straight off of a preview that IGN did . --Team6and7 00:39, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, skimming through the KKK article, and looking at the pic on the Snowtrooper article, they kinda look similar. Though I would say the KKK would have different masks. I don't know really. --Addict 2006 20:26, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Jukebox/radio in Jabba's Palace chapter

I think it plays a version of Imperial March (or a loop of the main part), but I don't really know which. It's either "Rage" or "Leviathan", but it does have a rock background to it. (They were created for Star Wars: Force Commander.) Does anyone know what version of Imperial March they play in this level? --Addict 2006 20:19, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

It's also in The Great Pit of Carkoon as well: It's an excerpt from the Imperial Rage mix of the Imperial March. --Addict 2006 19:17, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

It does indeed work, at least on my Xbox. All you have to do is face her as eithe Lando and press the attack button. Presumably your PSP version doesn't include this feature, for some unknown reason. Judas Mc'bees 22:11, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Saving a game on the PC version

Hi. My son and his friend are playing LSW2 on the same computer. Recently my son complained about his friend, who overwrote his savegame. I told him that they should use two different savegames (one saving in slot 1, the other in slot 2)... But I wasn't able to show them where they could save their game. I looked at the canteen and in the game menu but found nothing. Could anyone help? Has this game only an autosave-funtion? Is it possible to switch the autosave-slot from slot 1 to another slot when someone else starts the game? I would look at this game by myself, but I am afraid of overwriting the savegames of my son in slot 1 by this autosave-funtion.

Thanks in advance Daniel

Import

I have Lego Star Wars: The Video Game on NINTENDO GAMECUBE, so if I get Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy for GAMECUBE, how will I be able to import the first game's characters in the second game to get 100 characters like it said in the article? Do you automaticaly get the first game's characters if you have a saved file of the game in the memory card, like in Super Smash Brothers: Melee, you automaticaly recive a Pikmin trophy if you have a saved file of Pikmin in your GAMECUBE memory card?

You need to have your Lego Star Wars: The Video game data saved on your memory card. Then, you can upload the prequal trilogy characters to the new game from your memory card.KdogDS 02:40, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
It'll probably either be like the Pikmin thing or you will have the choice in the options menu—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wizkid357 (talkcontribs) 13:52, 1 July 2006.
If you go to the bar in Mos Eisley Cantina and go to Extras, you have to purchase "Use Old Save" for 250,000 studs. You also have to turn "Use Old Save" on whenever you start the game in order to use the characters. On top of that, when you go into Free Play on a level, it won't select any of your old characters. So, for instance, if you need a Shortie, a Bounty Hunter, and a Sith, and you're still at the very beginning of the game, you'll be forced to replay the level a number of times. So, yeah... there you go. ^_^ PantherFoxie 20:09, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Here's a new twist for you: I have the PC version of LSW: The Original Trilogy and a Mac version of LSW I. So I need to migrate the save game folder from the Mac to the save game folder on the PC. It's not clear where these folders are located on the different platforms, or even whether the save games are cross-platform compatible. Assuming for the moment they are compatible, on the Mac it looks like the save game folder could be ~/Documents/LEGO Star Wars, and on the PC the equivalent of this is C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\LEGO Star Wars. Both folders contain lsw_0 and lsw_1 subfolders which contain a pair of .bin files. I don't want to clobber the PC's .bin files with the files from the the Mac, so I tried copying the Mac's LEGO Star Wars folder into a subfolder in the window LEGO Star Wars folder, but I still get "Save not found" when I go to activate the use old save option. Any other suggestions? SteveChervitzTrutane 04:35, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Massive Clean Up

I just went through the article and took out swathes of lists (characters, levels, unlockables, etc). These sort of things are what you'd find in a Gamefaqs guide, or on a fansite, but not here. Indiscriminate lists of informations and game guides are part of WP:NOT (what wikipedia is not). A simple few sentences are fine to describe the characters, levels etc, not the ridiculous amount of information that was there (each character, their abilites; each level, characters, brief summary, etc). Fin© 13:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah this article has just descended to nothing, so I really don't care about the lists anymore. Good job. Gran2 15:27, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay having been working on this page for a while it is now a lot better than it was. I've greatly expanded the reception section, and added alot of refs. It still needs work before I give it a try at GAC, but I think now it is B class. Gran2 10:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars a sequel?

In the legacy section of this article, it says Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is a sequel to this game. However, to be a sequel, that game has to take place after Return of the Jedi. The Clone Wars happened between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, so Lego Star Wars III is a prequel to Lego Star Wars II. SeanWheeler (talk) 16:27, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

It means a sequel as in the game was released afterward. The point it is in the plot is irrelevant. The Clone Wars happens inbetween episodes 2 and 3, so it would be in the middle of this game. There isn't really a term for that as far as I know. Blake (Talk·Edits) 17:45, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
"Midquel"? "Alternate scenario"? This is a surprisingly difficult semantic issue. However, Lego Star Wars II is based on episodes 4 through 6, so Lego Star Wars III is actually more like a prequel. Maybe it should just be categorized as a "related game." Tezero (talk) 04:05, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Lego Star Wars II: The Original TrilogyLego Star Wars II – (Lego Star Wars 2 works too.) This game's common name, as invoked in the major sources, is not the subtitle but the portion that comes before it (also in keeping with the subtitle naming convention). The official name can be listed in the lede, but otherwise, the game is best known in reliable sources by its shorter version. czar 07:19, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

Contesting move to just "Lego Star Wars II"

As requested above by user Czar, this page was moved from "Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy" to "Lego Star Wars II", citing major sources only using the shortened, alledgedly common name. In the examples [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14], however if the game is ever cited, it is with the full name, shortened once in an article's header to shorten the header alltogether. With a quick google, the only article that only gave away the game's shortened title on was the review by Eurogamer.de, the German Eurogamer page, and nothing else, really. This is why I'd suggest to revert the move and keep the article at the games full title. Lordtobi () 10:22, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
