Battleships edit

The Iowa class battleships are featured in the early books, used as fire support against the Posleen, especially after the Darhel sabotage of the Human military artillery fire control net is discovered. The ships' systems were not integrated into the net. The ships' weaponry redieved major upgrades, including giant Discarding Sabot Fin-Stabilized Long Rod Penetrator (DSFSLRP) rounds for the main guns. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bizzybody (talkcontribs) 11:45, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

march of cambreadth edit

i dont think the yellow blodd is the only reason they use march on cambreadth. ringo uses it in several other books, (Coincil wars even more than this series, and vorpal blade), i think he just likes the song. Githyan (talk) 17:26, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sluggy Freelance edit

this comic gets serveral mentions in When the Devil dances and Hells Faire, including naming an important SheVa vehicle after Bun-Bun, as well as at least one character having the same apperance as Riff. these should be mentioned.

Bolos edit

Keath Laumer's intellegent tanks are referenced in When the devil dances, and offhand in hells faire about plans for updated SheVa's using AI.

Removed clarification tags concerning the Aldenata quote. It is a literal and exact quotation from the Glossary. 65.190.191.40 (talk) 23:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Books - This section is just simply HORRIBLE edit

I have no objection to describing what happens in each of the four books. I DO object to the block quotes which occur here. The problem with them is that they do NOT describe the respective books. Or perhaps I should say that they don't ADEQUATELY describe them. The first blurb (regarding Hymn Before Battle) describes the Galactic Federation as "friendly". It is not. It is not only covertly HOSTILE (the Darhel, at any rate) but overtly hostile (assassinations, sabotage, lying,...). The second blurb DOESN'T decribe the book's contents (Gust Front). It is far more appropriate to the first book (Hymn...). The third blurb (describing supposedly When the Devil Dances) states that "human civilization [only significant organized fighting is by US forces in the USA] prepares a strike to drive the aliens from the Earth". This is NONSENSE. There is no "strike preparation". The US/Fleet forces are BARELY SURVIVING!!! It goes on to claim that the Clan-Lord and O'Neal "square off". WRONG. The last chapter of the book has ONeal PREPARING to go to meet the enemy. They do NOT square off in this book [that is the main story of the fourth book]. I haven't read the 4th book, but the blurb for it seems correct. Hopefully, it is about more than O'Neal's batallion being slaughtered in a "forlorn hope" last stand, but it isn't obvious that the war is resolved in this series. I'm guessing the reader will be left hanging.40.142.187.175 (talk) 00:58, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
