Do we have cites for these, besides SmartVoter? Thanks. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 14:35, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I don't think these merit inclusion unless an independent source such as a reporter has noted that she is unusually active or trusted on commissions and boards. Such activity goes with the position, and the lists make the article look promotional, in my eyes - thereby detracting from the meat of the article, which is her career. But if anyone has written about her other activities as noteworthy ... Yngvadottir (talk) 16:33, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

lawsuits unfinished? edit

There are many 'controversies' which are left hanging in wikipedia's prose. There was a lawsuit about preferential treatment. What happened? Convicted? Dismissed? Ongoing? Wikipedia should not let readers guess the outcomes.  :-)   We should state the outocmes, when known, and state that the case is ongoin, "as of 2014" or whenever we last heard. The fact that the case was WP:NOTEWORTHY is shown by the cites to newspapers and teevee and such... but per WP:PRIMARY we can use court-documents "with care" if the actual outcome was not reported in the papers. Thanks for improving wikipedia, folks. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 14:35, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Problem of news coverage. The San Jose Mercury News is heavily paywalled - and often does not report things in any case. Metro Silicon Valley appears to have dumped its old archives. Good luck :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 16:26, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Political Party edit

It seems noteworthy that Smith is a registered Republican but I'm not sure where it fits in Cliff bar (talk) 17:45, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
