"Infection" info reinstated

I reinstated the info about the infection, making it about the water quality and moving the reference from the turkish discussion to this section. It is interesting and relevant, not sure why it was deleted. --Tinned Elk 00:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

The entire section on the infection should be removed unless you want included article for the amoeba itself. It serves no purpose on the Lake Havasu page no matter how interesting and relevant. It may have been considered relevant at the time of the incident, but now no longer needs to be mentioned at all. It is akin to putting every story about every fluke accident on the lake itself on the Lake Havasu page. It only clutters the page and is not of importance of an encylopedia article about the lake. "Party on Lake Havasu"

Shouldn't somebody talk about the extensive party scene that takes place on this lake? "Depth"

The article says the depth is 3,240 ft. That would make it one of the deepest lakes in the world. Plus the dam is only 300 or so feet tall. I doubt this is accurate and it needs a citation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.67.123.187 (talk) 02:58, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

I found this odd as well. I've posted a question about it on the reference desk; if someone can't come up with a reliable source backing that number up I'll probably just remove it after a week or so. AlexiusHoratius 18:51, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

I just went ahead and removed the figure for now - the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. If someone finds a maximum depth along with a reliable source, feel free to add it back to the infobox. AlexiusHoratius 19:34, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Havasupai

Wasn't the lake named after the Havasupai people? If so, shouldn't there be a link somewhere in the article? --Geopgeop (talk) 08:57, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Chemehuevi

The people who were actually displaced by the construction of the dam and the flooding of the dam were Chemehuevi, who had farmed the flood plains of the Colorado in this area and were moved to a reservation on the California side (though with only controlled access to the lake shore itself since that was designated as a nature reserve).
