I've been researching Hong Kong pirates for a project I'm involved with. Obviously anything I write here will probably count as Original Research and cannot be used in the article.
I've searched a lot of newspaper databases for articles about pirates in Hong Kong, and there are very few mentions of her.
1) I found no mentions of her before Lilius's book was published.
2) Hong Kong newspapers do not mention her in accounts of pirate attacks that she was supposed to have been involved with. (There were at least two named female pirates operating in the area in the 1920s and 1930s.)
He was also convicted in the Philippines for writing cheques that bounced, but was acquitted on appeal on a technicality — Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.78.160.232 (talk) 04:09, 27 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
