Konix made other things before they disappeared, notably the Konix Speedking (aka the Epyx 500XJ) and Navigator joysticks --scruss (talk) 19:05, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm not certain, but I have a feeling that a very stubby article basically along the lines of "Konix was a manufacturer of computer peripherals including joysticks and also made the Konix Multisystem" existed at some point, but was culled and replaced with the redirect. If you think that you have enough to put together something more substantial then go ahead, but otherwise I'd suggest a subsection within this article about their other products, as another stub would probably suffer the same fate. If the section grew big enough it could always be broken out into its own article later. danno_uk 21:16, 4 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Controller and the Chair and names

Section about the Slipstream controller and the chair should be there, I think. Both had some great ideas, were revolutionary, a couple of prototypes of the chair were built (seems there were hydraulic and electric versions, at least that appears in the magazines from that era (some call it hydraulic chair, some electric chair(this one was at a toy show I believe)), not sure if they were deceiving reporters). Controller was as important part of the console as the chair. It was also produced and sold (Multi System China sold them as Super MS-200E, and Konix remains (Wyn included) started Multi System UK/ TXE Multi System).

  • Also reffered to as "Multi System console" in magazines of the era.
  • Started as Konix Arcade System, later rebranded as Multisystem.
    • The name also seems to be Konix Multi-System (KMS) (appears in some PC magazines from that era and Konix's business plan from 1989). Although Multisystem also appears in the magazines of the era.
  • The chair part of the multisystem seems to be called "Power Chair" or "Power chair" (Konix's business plan from 1989) at 33:26
  • The controller is reffered to as Multi-System peripheral in some magazines of the era.

BUT is seems later on the controller was called (renamed to) the Multi-System and the chair was called the peripheral (alongside light gun and helicopter joystick) Konix's business plan from 1989 at 33:26 Setenzatsu.2 (talk) 21:23, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
