When one enter "Kodak", they are redirected to Eastman Kodak, the camera company. Is it possible to have a disambiguation page, or some other kind of notice that could lead users looking for this fortress to this page? Ostap 05:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just realized that I should probably ask this at the other Kodak page. Ostap 05:29, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Facts and Citations edit

The article currently has no citations.

The Kodak fortress is mentioned in a book called The Cossacks and Religion in Early Modern Ukraine by Serhii Plokhy. This book says that the fort was rebuilt in 1638, not 1639 and that the 1638 rebuild was by Guillaume le Vasseur de Beauplan. It does not say who did the 1635 fort.--Toddy1 (talk) 17:44, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

A question. Why was the fortress in this article named Kodak? As far as I know, it should be called Kudak. Tymek (talk) 15:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Google books gives me 7 for "Kodak fortress" and 5 for "Kudak fortress". Google scholar is 3-0 for Kodak fortress. Regular google results are 900 something to three for Kodak fortress (probably related to the current title). I think Kodak is more used than Kudak. Ostap 23:30, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why was the name of this article changed on 19 February 2009? The old name Kodak Fortress is a name that gets several pages of relevant results on Google. The new name Kodak Fort does not. The most normal English language name is Kodak Fortress. I have therefore reverted the change. If you want to change the name, please discuss it here first.--Toddy1 (talk) 05:37, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
