Other game series edit

Is it nessecary to include links to Star Fox and Kirby? I mean it uses Star Fox as an example of voice acting despite the fact 90% of games have voice acting in them, including other Nintendo games. Same goes for the Kirby part where most games collect items by touching them (ironicly Kirby doesn't pick them up , you have to suck them up with his ability AFAIK). -Usx9 (talk) 09:19, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Release date for Europe? edit

Where's the complete 100% confirmed official proof that Europe gets this game on March 16th?--86.4.28.205 (talk) 03:26, 21 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kid Icarus: Uprising will be released March 23, 2012 in Europe, official proof by Nintendo.

CERO rating edit

Why is this game rated B 12 and up and not A all ages? Poor children 11 and under won't be able to buy this game unless thier mom or dad let their child buy the game.69.131.127.136 (talk) 19:58, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you have watched a demo or video of this game you will know why right away. 130.159.149.205 (talk) 12:24, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have added a [citation needed] template to that fact. There needs to be a source for that info. C3F2k (Questions, comments, complaints?) 21:06, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thantos edit

There have been no claims by a reliable source that Thantos will be in the actual game. As of this writing, he only in one of the shorts, which have been stated to not reflect the plot of the game. I see no reason to include him on the voice acting list.72.86.44.166 (talk) 19:30, 10 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

There's a really long trailer on the 3DS's eShop that shows off a bunch of the bosses, including Thanatos. So yes, he is in the game. 50.105.135.118 (talk) 18:58, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
They were also identified by name in the trailer so it is clearly him.--174.93.169.157 (talk) 21:30, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Animated short by Production IG edit

Evidently, it's Prod IG, SHAFT, and 4 C. Source. Axem Titanium (talk) 21:49, 19 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Angry Kirby Syndrome edit

It's interesting to note that this game suffers from Angry Kirby syndrome:

US box art: http://cdn.nintendo3dsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Kid-Icarus-Uprising-Box-Art.jpg
Japanese box art: http://nintendoeverything.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/kid_icarus_uprising_boxart_japan.jpg

It's a recognised thing with Kirby games as this google search shows. Although interesting, I don't really know if it'd fit in the article. eyeball226 (talk) 14:25, 25 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it's something that has been done for years. They make angrier emotions for US/NA version of games to make them seems less cutsie/more mature. They did it back to Ristar in the 90's even. However, not sure it's worth putting in the article unless reliable sources make mention of it. If they were, I guess it could be put in the Development section... Spoiler warning? edit

Should a spoiler warning be put onto the Story section? It gives away about all of the plot twists. Earboxer (talk) 01:05, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, wikipedia doesn't warn for spoilers. That being said, sometimes plot sections can be written a little more tastefully so that it doesn't outright ruin the game for people either. (I'm just talking in generalities, I haven't written or read the plot section here, as I plan on playing the game someday myself... Sergecross73 msg me 01:31, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Missing Page edit

Just out of curiosity, why is there no page for the Kid Icarus series?-Mumbai0618 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mumbai0618 (talkcontribs) 15:53, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Probably just because no one's bothered to make it yet. (It really wasn't much of a "series" before a few months ago when Rising came out... Sergecross73 msg me 16:18, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

KI animation by Gainax? edit

I have a question, we know about the 3 short KI animations by Production I.G, Studio 4C and Shaft. However, I have heard that Nintendo had planned for Gainax to do an animation too but Gainax refused since they was not allowed to make Palutena's breasts jiggle. >_> Can someone verify this? I just wanna know if there is a official source. --81.170.200.102 (talk) 13:42, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pseudo-Palutena? edit

Is Pseudo-Palutena, Dyntos' brutal and vicious rip-off of the Goddess of Light, voiced by the same actor as the real Palutena? Shouldn't Pseudo-Palutena in this case be mentioned on the list of voice cast? 87.52.12.45 (talk) 19:09, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Europe eShop release date edit

This game has been released on eShop in Europe yesterday, 09/04/2014 (April 9th not September 4th). This date can be seen here: http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-3DS/Kid-Icarus-Uprising-274281.html

To see it you have to scroll down, and click "Visit standard gamepage" above the blue OFFICIAL STORE button. Unfortunately I don't see a way to link directly to it, as it's javascript and doesn't change the address.

On the right sidebar: Type Download version (Nintendo 3DS) Release date 09/04/2014

I've tried to add this myself to the infobox but I can't figure out how. Wikis are confusing. Someone please add it :) --NeatNit (talk) 17:32, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Kid Icarus: Uprising Trading Card Game merge edit

I think Kid Icarus: Uprising Trading Card Game should be merge to this article since there are no reliable secondary sources in the article except news articles announcing the game. --Mika1h (talk) 15:50, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I always wanted this. I'll have this finished soon-ish. JAGUAR  21:33, 4 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Well damn. I can hardly believe this, but I'll give this an instant pass. It meets the criteria. I've read the whole thing, and could spot no issues. I rarely reviews articles as flawless as these. One minor thing I did notice was "The games also incorporates a difficulty slider similar to Uprising's Fiend's Cauldron in Classic Mode" - should have no plural. Other than that, it's perfect. No dead links either. Ticks every box. Well done!   JAGUAR  20:05, 5 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

How the Touch! Generations line inspired Uprising edit

In part 3 of Masahiro Sakurai in Harada's bar (the Tekken producer's Youtube talk show), Sakurai mentioned how the Touch! Generations line inspired KI Uprising's origin. Here is the source via Nintendo Everything.--158.174.44.11 (talk) 11:04, 29 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
