Khaw has not commented on lightning strike.. yet edit
An SMRT train was reported to have been struck by lightning on 20 November 2017 while travelling towards Bedok station due to a torrential downpour. The train stalled on the tracks which caused delays along the EWL and the train driver had to be hospitalised at Changi General Hospital.[1] The incident raised concerns of train safety among commuters once again, given the slate of unfortunate events happening recently.[2] Khaw has not responded or spoken publicly on this issue.[3] The train operater clarified the next day that it was the trackside equipment that was struck by lightning, and not the train itself.[4] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.212.223.3 (talk) 08:04, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
