Nationality
editWhile it's accurate to call her a "Scottish Actress" in the text, it's rather less accurate to say "Nationality: Scottish" in the info panel. Her nationality is British. A quick look around other actors' pages seems to indicate that if they come from Scotland they are given "Scottish" nationality, but if they come from England they're given "British" instead. This seems inconsistent to me. 104.129.200.110 (talk) 14:44, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- You can read a long discussion about this here. UK Nationalities can be a difficult and often there are no straight forward consistent answer. So Wikipedia doesn't try to have one. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:11, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- There is a simple and easy answer but the rabid, foam-speckled nationalists that infect this resource won't allow it. 82.10.117.175 (talk) 17:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Movie appearances
editKaren plays lead (major) role in the movie Marriage Material (2015) however not listed as a movie she appears in her Wiki profile... is there a reason for this? Central Dibs (talk) 10:51, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- This page is completely absent of her filmography, which every other actor's page has. Not surprising that it's missing a few things. A filmography should be added. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 16:16, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
Philanthropy
editSurely there is a misplaced sentence in the "Philanthropy" section.
Gillan has also voiced advertisements for eHarmony and The Royal Bank of Scotland. She also appeared in TV on the Radio's "Happy Idiot" music video, released on 3 October 2014.
Doesn't this belong somewhere else? Where? OldBlackAndWhiteDog (talk) 17:04, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- They certainly are misplaced. I doubt whether a couple of voiceovers for commercials for companies should appear in the article at all - too trivial. As to the music video, probably somewhere in the main career summary.Sbishop (talk) 17:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed. I applied a workaround by changing this heading to "Philanthropy and other work", which fixes this, but agree that probably a more fulsome re-organization would be better.Rwintle (talk) 18:34, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
