This article is about the war itself, which ended in 1301. By that time the Ogedeids were certainly not weakened. User:Lauren68 is trying to add materials largely unrelated to the war, such as the peace in 1304, which is already mentioned in details in the article Yuan dynasty in Inner Asia. Please don't put unrelated and duplicate materials in this article, and please discuss instead of edit warring, thanks! --Cartakes (talk) 02:17, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Also, according to the WP:BRD cycle, your (User:Lauren68) bold edit got reverted, and it is time to discuss in the talk page. I don't see any discussion from you in the talk page, or even any useful message in edit summaries explaining your edit, but only edit warring. This is obviously against the WP policy. Please properly discuss your edits in the talk page, thanks! --Cartakes (talk) 14:14, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
At the end of one of final major battles (War didn't end here) Qaidu died and his weak successors came under the orbit of Duwa. Qaidu's nominated successor was replaced by Duwa for his son Chapar who was controllable by the Chaghadaids. The withdrawal of the Golden Horde from the scene was important for the Yuan given they may have accepted Khubilai's nominal authority.--Lauren68 (talk) 09:45, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Didn't you notice the sentence "rulers of the Golden Horde withdrew their support from Kaidu" appeared TWICE in your version? Why do you want to repeat the same sentence twice in the same paragraph? It should only appear once. Also, the weakening of the Ogedeids was not directly because of the war, but because of what happened afterwards, such as Duwa's ambitions after Kaidu's death and defeat of Chapar by Duwa and Yuan later on. --Cartakes (talk) 15:13, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I corrected the mistake. My apologize. If Qaidu didn't continue the war with the Khagan he would not have died early during the battle. His successors were not ready to succeed him. Plus, with the death of Qaidu, many Ogedeids and Arikbokid deserted to either Yuan Qaghanate or Ilkhanate (some to the Ulus of Jochi), weakening their manpower base. --Lauren68 (talk) 09:44, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
