Why this article exists

edit
His work is held by a number of important museums and universities, and the Smithsonian Institution has cataloged at least one of his pieces. There is a book written about Kubinyi and his wife, (Dancyger, Ruth. "Kubinyi and Hall: Cleveland's Partners in Art" 1988), although I haven't read it and don't directly cite it (apparently the original source of the quote from Kubinyi.)
I believe there are other books concerning the Cleveland School that describe his career. Many of his images can be seen on multiple Web sites and in writing this article, I relied on the several online biographies.
