Pitzman was a significant contributor to the design and completion of Forest Park in St. Louis. Although he is not well known, his style had an influence on many other architectural planners and most subdivisions today follow his street style. I plan to continue to expand this page, including proper source citations. Annieeo68 (talk) 03:07, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'd also consider Pitzman significant, less for Forest Park, more for his conception and planning of the private place in St. Louis, the 1870s prototype of the gated community. Many of these still exist, are still gated and patrolled, and constitute an important part of St. Louis's architectural history. --Lockley (talk) 05:35, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
