Death edit

Both this article and the article for Petreius mention that they fought a duel to the death; however, Juba's article says that he won, whilst the Petreius article says that Petreius won. Can someone clarify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Canislupisbarca (talkcontribs) 17:52, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Legacy edit

The chilean wine palm, Jubaea chilensis, is named after his son Juba II and not Juba I. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.251.162.193 (talk) 13:37, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article on Cordoba suggests it was named after a Numidian commander, long before Juba I was born (Hamalcar Barza named it) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.30.227.101 (talk) 15:38, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Punic name edit

For the punctilious editors who might head to the source to verify the Punic name, note that Huss uses German orthography that transcribes Punic's /j/ sounds as a ⟨j⟩. As far as I can tell, the English Wikipedia follows the conventions at the Punic alphabet page and renders those characters with a ⟨y⟩ instead. — LlywelynII 15:01, 1 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
