Jose Alfredo was a proud Dolorense or in other words born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was a composer his last years of his life writing great unforgettable songs like El Rey, Caminos de Guanajuato, Tu y Las Nubes, La Media Vuelta, Paloma Querida, and Gracias which was his last written song to all his fans saying how thankful he was for everybody's support and love. Now his songs are sang by great singers like Vicente Fernandez, just to name one of the great ones. He will always be remembered as someone great and now historical in Mexico's music.

The Editing of Jose Alfredo Jimenez

The Spanish-language Wikipedia article lists his birthdate as January 19th, as do all the Spanish-language sources listed there (although most only list the year, not the date), while it's listed as the 9th here, apparently sourced from IMDB. Reference sites do not look official

Both links take you to "Brown Planet", a Latino music site which does not seem to be specifically for this composer and which demands your email address.Ykral (talk) 01:48, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
