editOn his teaching status- He is the Robert O. Anderson Distinguished Service Professor at the College of the University of Chicago.-I believe no appointment at the Divinity School or any other committees at this time.
--i don't believe he started at chicago in 1968, which this page originally stated (assuming i. PhD date of 1968 is correct and ii. he completed PhD before holding a faculty position) also, he held positions at dartmouth and ucsb, though i'm unsure of the dates 128.135.78.60 16:34, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Smith seems to think that he moved to Chicago in the academic year 1968-69. See Relating Religion (10)
New peacock and overly-detailed tags
editNot sure I understand why these tags have been added. The article seems fine to me - and Smith was certainly very influential in his field. Maybe if DGG pointed out some particularly problematic areas then we could work on improving things. Retinalsummer (talk) 00:11, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- Well, no one was interested in discussion, so I removed the "interviews and lectures", which I can see could be considered superfluous. Other than that, I don't see any serious problems with the article. If anyone disagrees, then do let me know and we can work on improving it. Retinalsummer (talk) 23:35, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
