Razor blades

Can someone provide evidence that Guinness was misquoted - or even that he claimed he was misquoted - about the razor blades thing? All the sources I have seen suggest that the less charitable story is the indisputed truth. --SandyDancer 13:40, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

I vaguely recall him giving an interview about the by-election to the Mail about ten years ago. He said he was trying to regain momentum (a lot of normal Conservative voters were going to vote for Dick Taverne) so I wouldn't be surprised if he meant it. I think it quite right to question the explanation given. Why he he so concerned about facial hair on felons? It sounds like a pathetic attempt at covering his tracks.

Trustor

This section is slightly misleading as it is. By saying he was a figurehead director this rather indicates that he had nothing to do with the massive fraud involved. This needs to be balanced. Mr Guinness in fact controlled the voting stock of Trustor, it was he who appointed himself the 'figurehead' and other directors including Mr Smallbone the MD, and it was he and Mr Smallbone who orchastrated the opening of bank accounts for Trustor in the UK and the transferrance of its money without the knowledge of the rest of the board. I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jonathan Guinness, 3rd Baron Moyne's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version.
