Request edit on 15 July 2021 edit

  • What I think should be changed: Hi, being part of the management team of the artist: Jonas Kröper, I would like to request some changes on his page. First of all, the picture should be changed to a more recent picture (I can provide that). Then all sections should be updated. This is what I would suggest.

Jonasu: Jonas David Kröper (born 25 August 1990), also known by his stage name Jonasu,is a German DJ, record producer and songwriter based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.[1] His single "Black Magic" charted in the top 40 in the UK and Ireland in July 2021.[2] CHANGE THIS TO THIS: Jonas David Kröper also known by his stage name Jonasu was born in Mannheim (Germany) on 25 August 1990. Being a multi- instrumentalist, songwriter and artist Jonasu has in a short space of time seen himself climb to the forefront of the rising stars list in the Pop and Dance music world. His songs and songwriting contributions have seen him accumulate hundreds of millions of streams and gain international recognition. Having previously toured the world as a session musician, Jonasu has now turned his attention to creating songs with catchy melodies, driving house beats and unforgettable hooks in his first solo outing. Jonasu boasts an innate ability to make people move. It’s something he learned early on when he first started making music, “The reason I loved playing drums was that people started dancing” he explains, an undeniable and true musician whose training and influence were born during his decade long stay in Amsterdam. He now resides in Berlin, but spends his time recording in studios out of London, Stockholm & L.A. creating his next anthem. (This is his actual biography). Why the changes: He is not really a DJ, it would be more appropriate to say artist, producer and songwriter. He is also not based in Amsterdam anymore but in Berlin, Germany.

Early Life: Born in Mannheim, Germany, he attended the Johann Sebastian Bach Gymnasium before studying jazz drums at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.[1] THIS INFO IS CORRECT BUT COULD BE ADDED MORE FACTS: Born in Mannheim, Germany, he started playing drums at the age of five and gained experience playing in various bands. He toured in Germany and around the world with the German Jazz Orchestra. He also attended the Johann Sebastian Bach Gymnasium before studying jazz drums at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.[1]

Career:In 2020, Jonasu received two Buma Awards for co-writing the song "Post Malone" by Sam Feldt featuring Rani. [3] He produced the 2020 single "Pon It" by New Zealand rapper JessB.[4] After being used in an episode of British dating game show Love Island in June 2021, his 2020 single "Black Magic" registered a 59% increase in daily Spotify streams and entered the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.[5][2] THIS INFO IS CORRECT BUT COULD BE ADDED MORE FACTS: Jonas has over 1.5 Billion streams all combined and over 2.475.000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He co-wrote for an array of international artists including Conor Maynard, Alok, Dynoro, Lost Frequencies, Möwe, Martin Jensen, RANI, Sam Feldt and Emma Heesters to name a few. In 2020, Jonasu received two Buma Awards for co-writing the song "Post Malone" by Sam Feldt featuring Rani. [3] After being used in an episode of British dating game show Love Island in June 2021, his 2020 solo single "Black Magic" registered a 59% increase in daily Spotify streams, and entered the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.[5][2] This break out single is now an official UK Top 20 single, currently on position #15 and also #2 in the UK Top 200 Shazam. Black Magic also made Scott Mills’ ‘Tune of The Week’ on his show for BBC Radio 1 and continues to rack up huge radio play from the likes of Capital FM and Kiss FM. The hit has equally been featured in many Spotify playlists: Massive Dance (#2), Hot Hits UK (#2) Mint (#44) and is on the MTV Playlist (#1). On 16 July it was #1 on Club MTV’s Big 20 Chart, #2 in iTunes Main Chart, #11 in the Daily Spotify UK Chart , #5 on TikTok’s Hot 50 UK Chart , #4 on Apple Music Top 100 UK Chart, #4 on Apple Music’s Today’s Hits, #6 on Amazon Music Chart. Lauravergote, This is a long request, and I'll let other editors tackle some of these. You will need to provide links to verifiable reliable sources WP:RS for the changes. I mention this because I was going to make the first edit change, but the current sourcing does not call him a "multi- instrumentalist, songwriter and artist", just an artist. I also want you to know that we do not use Amazon record sales sites as citations; they are for selling records, and are not a reliable source (newspaper and magazine articles or books are.) I will be removing those.
However, I can change out the image once it is uploaded) Netherzone (talk) 16:41, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am closing this request because I think it has been answered below. Please submit a new request if there is additional information to add. Z1720 (talk) 17:20, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Lauravergote New photo inserted, I chose the image that did not show any logos. I also wanted to make a suggestion re: your edit requests. Because this is an encyclopedia, everything needs to written from a neutral point of view, and never in a promotional tone. See: WP:NPOV and WP:PROMO. For example: "in a short space of time seen himself climb to the forefront of the rising stars list", "boasts an innate ability to make people move", "unforgettable hooks" and "continues to rack up huge radio play from the likes of" - sound really promotional not encyclopedic. None of those statements are actually backed up by the citations you included, they are subjective opinions that exaggerate what the sources actually say. The encyclopedia is not for advertising, marketing or public relations. Here is a guide for paid editors (such as yourself) to submit edit requests: Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard/Paid there is some good basic info there. Also please read the guidelines and policies: WP:PAID, and WP:PEW. (You should also disclose on your user page.) Submit your edit request with each statement phrased in a neutral, encyclopedic tone, and backed up by citations in reliable, secondary sources. Also, please sign your posts by adding four tildes this mark: ~ Hope that helps! Netherzone (talk) 16:26, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
