John Conyers (politician, born 1717)John Conyers (1717–1775) – Universal form of bio article name used in Wikipedia. --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 11:31, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Steel1943 (talk) 23:13, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • This request goes against the year born/year death disambiguation methodology outlined in WP:NCPDAB; per the aforementioned guideline, the preferred name would actually be John Conyers (MP, born 1717) (with a comma) or something of the like. the current title. Steel1943 (talk) 18:33, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per WP:NCDAB, article already appears to be at the correct title and the date range would make an inferior, less recognisable disambiguator. PC78 (talk) 11:18, 25 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per Steel1943 and PC78. Parenthetical qualifiers consisting solely of vital dates should be used only as a last resort when no consensus can be achieved for a descriptive qualifier. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 17:22, 25 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Rubbish. We prefer occupation and birth year only. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:18, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: occupation, further dabbed by one date if need be, is standard and most useful disambiguation. PamD 16:37, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
