impeachment articles

Hey, William Allen Simpson, for this article and those of the other filers -- not DeWine's -- I'd argue this belongs here, no matter where it goes. This is something this person did. Whether or not it gets traction, it's one of the things they'll likely be remembered for. —valereee (talk) 22:08, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm certainly in agreement. But there was never an "official" resolution. Just keep the POV Fox noise out of it.

William Allen Simpson, but you seem to have removed the stuff DeWine was responding to when he said visit a hospital and talk to nurses? That was the reason he said that. —valereee (talk) 22:55, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Nope, I've removed the single sentence with a non-factual POV. He was not responding to it. The cite says:

When the four Ohio state representatives raised the prospect of impeachment last week, DeWine was taken aback. Asked about it during a press briefing Monday, he scoffed, “I’m not spending much time thinking about politics at this point. We have a pandemic to deal with.” The governor later recommended his foes visit a local hospital instead of playing political games.

“I’d like for them to go in and talk to some nurses who are front-line nurses who are dealing with people who are dying. At some point this foolishness needs to stop,” DeWine said.

William Allen Simpson, I'm not following. What non-factual pov? The cite says he was responding? Right now it looks like he was responding to Chris Cilizza. I'm confused. Please ping, my watch is many thousands so it's hard to keep track of convos without pings. —valereee (talk) 23:52, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Valereee: Usual subject predicate grammar; many of us readers wouldn't associate Cilizza with "they" or "them". Easily fixed using language from the cite. Personally, I'm finding pings to be obnoxious, like somebody holding a private conversation in the middle of a public doorway. But really like the expiring watch list items, trimmed mine down to 30 at the moment.

I will try to remember not to ping you! :)
CNN's Chris Cillizza analyzed it as one of several examples blah blah blah. Sorry, it sounds like DeWine is responding to Cilizza's several examples. But grammar aside, what non-factual pov are you objecting to? And not sure what you mean by POV Fox noise, that completely factual assertion was cited to a local affiliate, not a Fox talk show. —valereee (talk) 13:00, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hopefully, all this stuff will be resolved soon :) Nowhere's near as frustrating as Antony Blinken, of course. GoodDay (talk) 22:38, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

So the John Becker (politician)#COVID-19 and impeachment has a lot of quotes in it. Wanted to ask if [1] could be used as a source. The website contains a decent amount of official statements from people like Robert R. Cupp (Speaker of the Ohio House) and other news organizations. Wasn't going to add it without asking on here first. Elijahandskip (talk) 23:35, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
