Anti- South Bias

Image:Sealtexas.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Doctor?

I agree: nothing in the article or the sources supports the idea that he had a doctorate, and he doesn't appear to have been a physician either if that's what was intended. No one has provided evidence since the above comment was posted last year, so I'll remove it. Name change.
editThe name for this entry is incorrect. His name is James Hogg but is listed as "Jim Hogg." - Move to James Stephen Hogg, which currently redirects here, per WP:NATURAL and WP:COMMONNAME, as that is how he is usually known in reliable sources cited in this article and at James Stephen Hogg (Coppini). - Oppose. Not really explained why this title is a problem. The implication of the nomination is that we shouldn't use nicknames. Well, we do. Or is the suggestion that he was referred to more commonly as James than as Jim? Given the county named after him is Jim Hogg County, Texas, this seems unlikely. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:07, 18 April 2018 (UTC)
- I think it's the latter. But looking at the sources or even just a Google search, James Stephen Hogg seems most common, occasionally James S. Hogg or J.S. Hogg or Jim Hogg but rarely or never plain James Hogg. So I agree the current title is preferable to the proposal. Station1 (talk) 18:43, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
