Unsourced article about a a thoroughly unnotable professor. I found no newspaper obituaries. Here is hte obit in the department newspaper (scroll to p. 6 of the pdf) [1] It does not mention a single book, theory, or idea for which he is known. It does describe his late-life pro-Palestinian activism. But I cannot find that he was notable as a political activist. The WP article, as created and as it still stands, is a close copy of the very brief death notice in the department newsletter. It is a highly unusual faculty newsletter obituary; the done thing is to write glowingly of a colleague's contributions of the field - however minor they were in reality. I find the lack of a mention of, well, any scholarly accomplishment at all very telling. He may well have been a good person, teacher, colleague - just not a notable one. • I haven't notified any editors since the page creator hasn't made an edit in years, and no one else ever added anything more substantive than a "lacks sources" tag or a category to the page. The original editor called him "Jim", and probably created this as a MEMORIAL. E.M.Gregory (talk) 18:11, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
