Daimler

edit

Not as far as I know although there may be later as X350 did get a Daimler version.

All New

edit

Is this car really all-new? I'm not sure that it is. It may look very different but I'm sure that most of the aluminium floor pan is carry-over X350.

Not just the floorpan but suspension, engines, and transmission are all developments of the earlier car. Not "all new" at all except in appearance

Phew!! I thought I was going mad for a minute. This isnt, then a "Mark 4" at all. It is, essentially, a restyle and tweak of the X350. This is no bad thing at all but it's wrong to say that it is all-new. IMO, the entire "Mark" designation for the XJ series and models is incorrect. I worked at Whitley and there has never been such a designation. I also call into question the X308 designation too. Ah, the AJ133 engine is, I understand, a new engine ovre the AJXX range. Hence the 3-digit code.

Unclarity

edit

"Production of the car is due to begin in September 2009, with first deliveries being made in early 2010.[5] However, the sale was delayed to December.[6]"

This is badly written and makes no sense. 82.70.144.30 (talk) 22:52, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Has anyone actually seen one on the road yet?Mr Larrington (talk) 14:35, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Diesel in US?

edit

The diesel version isn't available in the US, is it? --76.115.67.114 (talk) 03:15, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Use in motorcades.

edit

The motorcades in whict X351 is escorted by Range Rover look quite awkward. СЛУЖБА (talk) 08:45, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

3.0 V6 supercharged petrol, top speed?

edit

Would somebody care to change the top speed of the 3.0 V6 supercharged petrol engine as I am sure it isnt 75 mph (121 Km/h). I would do it myself only i'm not 100% sure on the correct top speed. yesilikecars (talk) 12:45, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

This error is now fixed. Warren (talk) 15:07, 30 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

4WD/AWD?

edit

Jaguar mentions 3.0 V6 AWD model in current XJ Specifications [1]. (Without telling exact type and manufacturer of 4WD system, however.)

It definitely deserves mentioning. 109.174.50.37 (talk) 09:09, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
