In Holland a documentary called The Reunion (of Annes classmates) was made for television in 2004. In this programm Jacque confirmed that Frank showed her the diary right after the war as in contained a farewell letter written by Anne. Should we include text about the following passage from Frank's diary:

I already had these kinds of feelings subconsciously before I came here, because l remember one night when I slept with Jacque I could not contain myself, I was so curious to see her body, which she always kept hidden from me and which I had never seen. I asked Jacque whether as proof of our friendship we might feel one another's breasts. Jacque refused. I also had a terrible desire to kiss Jacque and that I did. I go into ecstasies every time I see the naked figure of a woman, such as Venus in the Spring History of Art, for example. It strikes me sometimes as so wonderful and exquisite that I have difficulty not letting the tears roll down my cheeks. If only I had a girl friend![1]

In van Maarsen's book,My Name is Anne, She Said, Anne Frank: The Memoirs of Anne Frank’s Best Friend, she writes that she "often didn’t quite know what to do with [Anne's] effusive declarations of friendship and ardent love".[4]

Van Maarsen's mother writes that her and Anne were "like a couple". ("Wie ein Liebespaar", "Was haben sie bloß alles ausgeheckt und miteinander zu tuscheln gehabt und telefoniert, den ganzen Tag, dabei wohnten die Franks keine drei Häuser von uns.")[5] Kolya Butternut (talk) 01:34, 29 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
