Moving video game remark to end of article edit

I've moved this sentence:

In the Namco video game Soul Calibur III, the final boss Abyss uses a mutated scythe named Irkalla

from the opening paragraph to the end of the article. Placing it at the beginning gives an incorrect impression of the importance of the video game to the rest of the topic. I'm thinking of deleting the sentence entirely, but I'd like to get some feedback from other editors first. Fabulous Creature 23:47, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Also, the same Creture from Soul Calibur III uses attacks related to Sumerian mythology like Ereshkigal, Nergal, Ishtar, etc.--88.16.237.97 (talk) 21:28, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Weak support per nom. ONR (talk) 22:50, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • I don't follow. Where did the Irkalla name come from? Since this seems to be a subject of the broad topic "Mesopotamian mythology", we have to pick some name, right? Akkadian might be no more valid than Sumerian or whatever Irkalla is, but again, it has to be something. --BDD (talk) 19:15, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Jenks24, the preference for Ersetu comes from Mesopotamian Cosmic Geography, p. 273:

Akkadian ersetu is the most common Akkadian name for both the earth and underworld [...]

Since Irkalla is also Akkadian (see p. 293), the preference on Wikipedia should also be Ersetu. BoH (talk) 11:52, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

This seems to be an alternative name Derek Andrews (talk) 11:15, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comment Could you please provide more information to establish that ersetu is the commonname, preferred over Irkalla? The only thing I can see is that they are variants of the same topic, but nothing to establish that one is more common than the other. Tiggerjay (talk) 19:05, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
