1369 "symbolism" edit

The article states that the 1,369 light bulbs are "symbolic", but not actually what they're symbolic of. 124.169.190.109 (talk) 05:12, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article states that the room is symbolically illuminated with the bulbs, not that the number of bulbs is symbolic. Magnus Puer (sermo) 02:37, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Reference Shenanigans edit

Reference 4 is the 1952 book, but is used to verify a statement about the thirty year anniversary edition. Not sure how many editions have the intro, but the point is that the source is incorrect.

Reference 10 is also the book. ??? Not sure if that's even a problem considering the weirdness of reference four. Anyways, it's used twice and the first use quotes a line from the introduction that occurs after the part the second use is talking about. So that bit is not in order, and subsequently fundamentally wrong due to its nature of tracking a thought process.

Influence on Obama's book edit

In 2014 The New York Times printed a piece claiming that Obama took IM as model for one of his books, so I thought this would be notable enough for the lead. However I cannot provide the link with this Phone. But the item is linked as the last item of the External links at Benito Cereno. Hope that someone could copy that link to the note here, otherwise it will have to wait until Friday. MackyBeth

In case anybody wants to know, the source is Greg Granding's essay listed in note 5. MackyBeth (talk) 21:28, 2 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

[12] edit

Currently the source of one fact in background is written out as [12]. I have no idea if the current 12 is the 12 desired. Anyone know the proper source and can fix this? Thmazing (talk) 18:20, 15 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
