I am not familiar with the disbanded railway lines, but wonder whether the Nicholson Street station would be Carlton and Langridge Street would be Fitzroy, rather than the other way around. Mbwardle 15:21, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- If by Fitzroy you mean North Fitzroy (and not Fitzroy station on the branch to the south), then the street names are correct. Langridge Street is now just Lang Street for some reason, (and North Carlton station was located adjacent to it), and North Fitzroy was located adjacent to Nicholson Street. I don't see how they could be the other way around. TPK 17:10, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
supposed irony
edit"and ironically the remaining overhead gantry sections still carry railway electrical current between the Upfield and Epping railway lines."
Is my perception of irony off or is this not ironic --Dinna89 09:43, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- Rewritten without 'irony'. Wongm (talk) 11:25, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Fitzroy station
editDoes anyone have any details/images regarding Fitzroy station on the branch and where it was located. A quick google fails to return anything. Nomadtales (talk) 05:20, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- It went down to the Edinbrough Gardens or thereabouts. I'm pretty sure it was just freight sidings, not a actual 'station' as such. Wongm (talk) 05:28, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Another search just then has turned up these two interesting documents: [1] & [2]. Your right it was in Edinburgh Gardens. I think it briefly carried passengers before competion from the trams closed it to just freight. I will try to incorporate some of this into the article. - Doh. Most of the info was already in the article, including links to the document .. if I had bothered to read it properly. Nomadtales (talk) 05:55, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
