This interesting article includes references from the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten which are in fact accessible on line. For example here. As the author is a Master Editor, I wondered if there was a specific reason for this, for example the threat of spam from the website, unreliability or simply the fact that the articles are in Norwegian. Personally, I always prefer online references as I like to check them out. I also wonder why the Norwegian language icon - (in Norwegian) - has not been used in the references. But these are very minor points and the article has been well researched. -- Ipigott (talk) 14:10, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

If I were to guess, I would say the article was written based on articles found in a newspaper archive - and some of them happened to be available online. There are no problems associated with adding a link to the online version of the article such as the one you linked above. decltype (talk) 15:41, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi! The first answer is this: since the Norwegian news search engine, "Sesam", became defunct, I have stopped searching the Internet for news. I now search the password-protected database at www.retriever.no, which usually gives the articles as being offline (although it hosts some online newspapers and other websites as well). I don't double-search to see if some of them are online, but if others do so the links may be added. Second, I don't use the icon because all the cite templates include the parameter |language=. It renders "(in Norwegian)" instead of the icon, which is at least as good. Geschichte (talk) 15:52, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your rapid response. I might indeed provide the online links as the newspaper articles offer a lot more detail. Thanks too for your response on the icon.
