I removed the following external links from the article (kind of disguised as references):

I think the external link to "ISO 26262 Software Compliance: Achieving Functional Safety in the Automotive Industry" white paper by Parasoft is also primarily an advertisement for their testing tool. Should this be removed too?

I don't see anything in particular in this link that tells the reader more about the ISO 26262 standard.

I think there should be a link to the ISO standard http://www.iso.org/iso/iso_catalogue/catalogue_tc/catalogue_detail.htm?csnumber=43464 The Parasoft reference takes me to a form to enter my details to be able to get the article.
