The Gay Hussar edit

Not sure about including a link to The Gay Husar restaurant. It's a very nice restaurant, I've been there. But it's not really relevant to the article, and smacks of advertising. Indisciplined 23:48, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Perdita Hyde-Sinclair.png edit

The image Image:Perdita Hyde-Sinclair.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Notable people section edit

I've removed the notable people section because it was unsourced. If anyone wants to reinstate it, with reliable sources as references, I've pasted it below as it appeared prior to removal. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:42, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have undone this edit. Whilst Cordless Larry may be raising a valid point, could I ask that he raise this as a discussion first. Currently pretty much all the articles referring to ethinic minorities in the UK contain notable people sections, which are unsourced. I will express my own frustration at having to remove from time to time individuals who don't fall within the given criteria. Names have been added incorrectly, but in good faith. I would suggest having a debate about wether we need to source the names of notable individuals across the board, rather than arbitarily deleting a section of one article. This has been discussed at length on the BLP noticeboard, where the consensus was that such lists require reliable sources and those entries without them should be removed to the relevant talk pages. Cordless Larry (talk) 23:23, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
