I don't know about others, but I find the article rather confusing, eg. the "tenses" section skips the present tense entirely, there's no marking of person and number in conjugation (just a list of 6 forms), and the whole article could use a clearer structing (it seems to hop from topic to topic and then back to the previous one). --77.253.120.162 (talk) 09:02, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I've added the present tense and tried to include the person and number in a few places, beyond the forms themselves. A clearer structuring would be good, if it can be done without losing content (some could be put into another article, maybe). Adam78 (talk) 21:33, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

List all past tenses

The article should list all past tenses, not just the one. They're not "historical", they're still being used in several regional varieties. They may well be used in several regional varieties, but this article is long enough already (> 50 kB), and it primarily aims to inform those who are completely unfamiliar with the language. They will not need the knowledge of these forms even at an advanced level, as even most Hungarians don't know these forms. Of course, they should be described in comprehensive grammars of the language, and even in Hungarian Wikipedia, because Hungarian native speakers can and should be informed of these details of the language. Intransitive verbs/Indefinite conjugation

I think there is a mistake in the Past tense section, in this sentence: "As in the present tense, there are special indefinite forms for transitive verbs with direct objects that are 1st or 2nd person or indefinite, while definite forms are used for intransitive verbs and transitive verbs with definite, 3rd person direct objects, and there is a special form used just for instances where there is a 1st person subject and 2nd person direct object." Shouldn't intransitive verbs be conjugated as indefinite?--Mona Williams (talk) 20:01, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

"Ergative–absolutive trait"

How does the form of the subject of the intransitive verb not agree with the form of the subject of the transitive verb? It seems to me that it does, that both are in the nominative case.--Mona Williams (talk) 20:04, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Optional conjugation

There is nothing in the article about the optional conjugation (ható ragozás): csinálhat - can (have the opportunity/possibility to) do. It certainly has to be put in the article. Adam bozso (talk) 23:38, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
