Lakeside Press Construction
editI'd clean this disaster of a sentence up, but I'm not 100% sure I know what it's trying to say: "Most printing press buildings of the age built from wooden to support the machines." --98.232.26.108 (talk) 13:38, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Incorrect photo and information in the gallery section and incorrect information in the Later life and career section
editGallery section: In the gallery section of this article the fourth photo to the right listed as "1120 Lake Shore Drive; Chicago Illinois" does not correspond to this article. 1120 North Lake Shore Drive was designed by Robert Seeley DeGolyer, not Howard Van Doren Shaw. On the other hand, 1130 North Lake Shore Drive which is right across the street was designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw.
Later life and career section: I believe the building mentioned in the Later life and career section, "In 1910, he designed an eight-story apartment building in the Gold Coast that would become the first cooperatively owned apartment building in Chicago" is 1130 North Lake Shore Drive.
1) 1130 North Lake Shore is the only apartment building he designed in the Gold coast. 2) was built between 1910 and 1911 3) is listed as being the first cooperatively owned apartment building in Chicago on page nineteen of "Inventing the New American House Howard Van Doren Shaw, Architect" by Stuart Cohen.
If the building mentioned is 1130 North Lake Shore, then the information regarding its height is incorrect as the building is not eight but nine stories tall with what looks like a tenth story utility/elevator shaft floor. Yitshok (talk) 01:17, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
