The below paragraph was inserted (then later re-inserted after another user deleted it) by an anonymous IP. The language is blatantly partisan and violates Wikipedia's neutrality policy. I rewrote the paragraph to reflect the Cuomo communion controversy in more neutral terms.

On March 08 2011, Hubbard gave an interview in which he cowardly skirted his duties as bishop and pastor of the church by tacitly condoning Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, a divorced man who supports gay marriage, abortion and openly lives with his concubine, to receive holy communion.[1] This followed an earlier statement from a consultant to the Vatican's highest court saying Cuomo should be denied communion under canon law citing, “The governor, with complete freedom, is publicly acting in violation of a fundamental moral expectation of the church.
