Mongols
editSection disputed per User:Eupator/Mongol historians.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 17:54, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am in agreement that the information on this page is questionable and should be reviewed. Now, we should probably try to articulate what exactly our concerns are, so that we can work on finding a neutral consensus version. I've already been talking a lot about this at other articles (see Talk:Franco-Mongol alliance#List of articles for review), so, Eupator, since you tagged this article first, would you like to go first on the talkpage? What exactly would you like to see changed? --Elonka 23:14, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, it took a year, but now that the article has been extensively copyedited/rewritten, are there any remaining concerns? Or can we remove the "disputed" tag? --Elonka 01:38, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Early coinage

- Hethum I of Armenia → Hethum I
- Hethum II of Armenia → Hethum II
- Thoros I, Prince of Armenia → Thoros I
- Thoros III of Armenia → Thoros III
– Unnecessary disambiguators. There are no other people by these names and regnal numbers. Aintabli (talk) 15:14, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support, will bring consistency with Thoros II and is in line with WP:NCROY. Bensci54 (talk) 16:08, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. If it can't be done with all the Armenian kings, I see no benefit from doing it here. Move Thoros II back (he was moved without discussion). There are two other Armenian rulers named Thoros with articles on Wikipedia, Thoros of Marash and Thoros of Edessa. —Srnec (talk) 21:33, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- It can easily be done with the other kings by using the Armenian forms of their names (Kostandin/Gosdantin, Levon/Lewon, etc.), which appear to be fairly common (possibly more than their English equivalents). We have many articles that are just "X regnal number" (without a territorial disambiguator), although there are other articles titled "X of place name", so Thoros of Marash and Thoros of Edessa do not necessarily warrant a disambiguator for this page. The regnal number is enough of a disambiguator itself. Aintabli (talk) 00:50, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support - especially as it appears questionable as to whether these men would best be described as "of Armenia" rather than "of Cilicia" or something else. With the proposed titles, we can just avoid that question entirely. estar8806 (talk) ★ 01:54, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support in line with WP:NCROY. Rosbif73 (talk) 09:43, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support per WP:NCROY and Estar's reasoning. Векочел (talk) 17:40, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
