Johan Sytses van Martena edit

This article describes Hessel Martena as having no male progeny, meaning his family name died out with him as he "daughtered out," he had only female children, he had daughters and no sons. Yet, on Geni he is shown to have Johan Sytses van Martena as a son and there are no other children listed as his: Hessel: https://www.geni.com/people/Tenth-Potestaat-Magistrate-Governor-of-Friesland-Hessel-van-Martena/6000000018802856109

His son Johan: https://www.geni.com/people/Johan-Sytses-van-Martena/6000000018301978789

The death dates match perfectly, I believe this is the same Hessel. At times these two websites don't match with this type of information. Here it appears to have happened again, and on Geni his Martena name survives for many generations. The Geni contributor who posted that profile is "private," meaning he or she does not wish to share identifying information with the public.

I wonder which is correct, "private" or Wikipedia?2600:1700:C221:FA0:91DA:E83B:CECF:691F (talk) 12:53, 21 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
