World War I
editThe article claims he enlisted in WWI at the age of 15 - which would have been 1911 or 1912, before the war actually started! Does anyone have any sources for this? GiantSnowman 14:20, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
yeah mum (who's the grand daughter and i the great grand daughter of herbert...) said he joined up and lied to get into the army because he was too young, though that could i suppose be a family legend, i am going to check with the war records people see if i can get a date 5M1L3-1T5-C00K13.M0N5T3R (talk) 17:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
