Collection

edit

This article doesn't really convey how big of a collection that Henry Wellcome amassed. His collection was simply the biggest collection amassed ever. It was truly vast. The article conveys the idea, that he focused on medical equipment. Although that was the case at the beginning of his mad spree, by the end, he was collecting everything that took his fancy and a lot more besides. I understand it took a full 43 years to catalogue it. scope_creep (talk) 16:49, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wellcome Trust

edit

Saw Henry Wellcome on facesofphilanthropy.com, Thought his trust fund deserved it's own section in his wiki article, as its contributions to society have been so significant. Sir. Somerset (talk) 19:10, 16 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pills were commonly known and frequently used before the Wellcome introduction of the 'tabloid'. Pills were, however hand rolled by the pharmacist to meet the doctor's prescription. Wellcome mechanised and standardised the production of pills as tablets.

There is not a word on how he came to live or found a company in the UK, very strange. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.115.35.76 (talk) 20:52, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
