This article claims that he was born in Clevedon (which is supported by a reference to a book source to which I do't have access) however most of the sources I have looked at claim he was born in Kingsdown, Bristol. Can anyone resolve this?— Rodtalk10:40, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I cannot find particular authoritative works that conclusively show that David was part of the name, it seems that it is possibly suspected, and that seems to be a more recent phenomenom, rather than of the time.
