St Peter's Church, Carmarthen edit

I was about to start writing a standalone article about St Peter's Church, Carmarthen, but the listing is quite confusing. In fact the official COFLEIN website says the church is Grade II, as does a recent local newspaper article. Britishlistedbuildings describes it as Grade I, but Britishlistedbuildings is not an official listings website. The church's own website gives no clue. While the description of the church suggests it should be a higher listing than Grade II, it would be good to have compelling proof. Any ideas? Sionk (talk) 23:45, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

The church also has its detailled history hosted on Net Ministries which concurs that it is Grade II listed. Therefore I'm removing the entry from this list article. Sionk (talk) 15:47, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Presumably BLB make mistakes. I understood RCAHMW/Coflein to be the official Welsh Government disseminator of information on the subject. It will be interesting to see what Cadw's response is. Sionk (talk) 17:10, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here's the reply: "Thank you for your email. I can confirm that the Parish Church of St Peter, Church Lane, Carmarthen is listed grade I. I have attached a copy of the list description for your information." The description is the same as that on British Listed Buildings. Someone (i.e. Coflein) need to correct their online infomation, in that case. We're relying on a secondary website to 'prove' a listing, rather than the official listing body, the newspapers and the church itself, who all say Grade II.
