It is no longer known as Adzillatron. It was initially known as that during teh beginning but it is now more acceptable among the students. There is no question that it is a work in progress, but it no longer merits adzillatron.

Size?

Well since width is the greater dimension, any increase in height will yield a greater increase in area than an equivalent increase in width. Comparison to last year

The screen is no longer split like it was for the first game. ohio state game had regular cameras, but they stretched the image. Any idea why they had to use stretched standard-def TV for the Ohio State game? The game was being broadcast in HDTV. There was a report after the North Texas game that they were missing a part needed to show HD, but this was reported as false even before the Ohio State game.[1] So why wouldn't they have shown true high-definition for the Ohio State game since the cameras were clearly there? It will be interesting to see if they go back to a 4:3 aspect ratio this weekend since there won't be any HD cameras there, or if they will stretch the regular definition feed to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio. Johntex\^talk 17:59, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

there's the stadium crew and the tv crew. what's shown on the jumbotron is not the same TV feed. so, the HD cameras will be there for every home game. same at the erwin center. they earl miller productions crew produces both for stadium jumbotrons. Corpx 05:15, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the link to the picture. I copyeditted the text to say that the initial use was similar in size to the old scoreboard (with the references provided) but that later games have featured 16:9 video centered in a frame of advertisement. Johntex\^talk 17:13, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Nickname

I removed this statement from the article "(credit for the nickname goes to hornfans.com, a message board for University of Texas fans)." It strikes me as a vanity contribution on behalf of hornfans. There is no independent proof of who came up with the name, so this sort of informaiton should not be added unless a verifiable, reliable source can be found. I also restored the alternate name "Adzillatron" since this name is documented in the article with mutltiple sources. Johntex\^talk 01:54, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Dimensions
