I noticed that Glen Douglas was conspicuous by its absence in the articles on the West Highland stations. So I thought I should prepare one. It took a while in gestation; when I eventually submitted a draft (see Glen Douglas railway station I failed to notice that in the meantime an article had already been written. Apologies to its author. Clearly we need to merge these articles, but I do not have the expertise. We also need to agree on a title. A siding is different from a station; surely the "siding" on the OS map refers to the fact that there was a siding there (as well as a platform = a station). According to Canmore (https://canmore.org.uk/site/128009/glen-douglas-halt) it "was opened (as Glen Douglas Platform) by the West Highland Rly on 7 August 1884." The present name for the passing place is simply Glen Douglas, and as far as I know the signalbox was always called that. Exbrum (talk) 14:04, 15 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
