Baldwin and Bourne

I pointed to Bourne Abbey, and not Bourne Castle, for Baldwin in order to bring to attention the verbiage in the Monastic Origins section, to wit: ... by a charter granted in 1138, by Baldwin fitz Gilbert de Clare (with the consent of Roger his son and Adelina his wife). He was a member of a post-conquest Norman family, settled in Suffolk, which later made its mark in Wales and Ireland. Adelina was a great-granddaughter of Hereward the Wake, though the connection with the Wake family was not made until the generation after Baldwin and Adelina, when their daughter, Emma married Hugh Wake.

I understand, but I was concerned that subtlety may be lost on many readers. When clicking on a link to a title, linking to that honor, of which the castle was a part, would be more logical than to an abbey he founded. My thinking was that if someone clicked on Lord of Bourne and got Bourne Abbey they might be confused. An alpha note after Baldwin’s name might be one way to go, adding the link to the note. A simpler solution would be to add the mention of founding Bourne Abbey after Gilbert’s mention in the Family section:

• Baldwin Fitz Gilbert de Clare, Lord of Bourne, d. 1154, m. Adeline de Rollos.[11] Together they founded Bourne Abbey

I'll check to see if that information is covered by the source used or another has to be added—unless you have that covered. It's more work but the best solution might be in creating an article for Baldwin Fitz Gilbert de Clare, if there’s sufficient information on him showing he’s notable. Then this information could be developed as part of that page. You brought up an interesting point and it just needs to be determined what is the best way to connect it to this or his son’s (potential) article. What do you think?
