Feedback
editHi, this is my first effort at a biography. Feedback welcome! Clippership (talk) 01:43, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- You have introduced many sections, referenced them, included photos, and an infobox, that is pretty awesome for your first biography. If you can convert your citations to use templates, it would improve your article see Citation templates. I added some wikiproject banners and ratings for the talk page.SriMesh | talk 03:33, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

- The B class rating needs an article to meet the following five criteria:
- Thanks for the suggestion....done! Clippership (talk) 18:29, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is suitably referenced, and all major points are appropriately cited.
- It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain major omissions or inaccuracies, includes Notability.
- It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content. Follows Manual of Style
- It is free from major grammatical errors.
- It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams.
- It is fairly close to a B class rating already.
Here is an infobox for bishops Bishop infobox (I changed the writers infobox to this one) Sometimes it is helpful to look at passed feature and good article biographies...Religous person biographies Henry, Bishop of Uppsala, or Joseph W. Tkach or Sk biography Louis Riel are featured articles. Religious person biographies Henry de Lichton, Gene Robinson or Sk biography Leslie Nielsen are good articles.
Good Article criteria , Feature Article criteria
- You could briefly mention the area that his diocese covered in this time span bishops
- In early history you could expand the broadness - when was Rev. G.E. Lloyd of principal of Emmanuel College?
- A section for published writings - The Trail of 1903 by Rev. G. E. Lloyd, edited by Dr. Franklin Foster, was published in late 2002. Lloyd
- This statement He was severely wounded in this action. Who does it refer to for the injury? Was it Edward Acheson or Rev. G.E. Lloyd that was wounded?
- A section on family would be pertinent as his son seemed to be also notable -Col. F. P. Lloyd, VO, OBE, of Cobourg, On Bishop Lloyd's Son A section could be named marriage and children.
- A section for awards and honours such as the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws bestowed on Rev Lloyd the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of Emmanuel College Honorary degree recipients
- It seems like Rev. G.E. LLoyd was fourth Bishop of Saskatchewan, and Walter Burd the sixth Anglican Bishop of SK. Should this statement be altered...He is described by Bishop Walter Burd, his successor, as follows: bishops
- At the end of doing the above sections revise the lead as per...From Wikipedia:Lead section
Next to establishing context, the lead section should briefly summarize the most important points covered in an article in such a way that it can stand on its own as a concise version of the article (e.g. when a related article gives a brief overview of the topic in question). It is even more important here than for the rest of the article that the text be accessible, and consideration should be given to creating interest in reading the whole article (see news style and summary style).
See also Better lead
- If you do all the above, keeping citations included. References needed for each paragraph as well as each new fact. Then you could probably even nominate it for GAN.
Good luck! It is awesome to be e-talking to the great-grandson of Rev G.E. Lloyd! SriMesh | talk 21:12, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
