Copyright violations edit

Based upon the copyvio check, it appears that quite a bit of the content that can be checked electronically is a copyright violation. This makes me think that there is possible that the content from New York Times queries and other content may be copyright violations.

There's a couple of approaches: Is someone interested in working on paraphrasing the content (and then the intermediate versions can be hidden via {{Copyvio-revdel}})? Or, should it be reverted to an earlier version where there are no copyright violations and hide the versions since then?–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:21, 30 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Cemetery edit

I reverted this edit by an IP user, because there is cited content that says that he was buried in San Francisco. This was at the turn of the 20th century.... and may have been referring to the metropolitan area.

In any event, changing the information requires a citation and an explanation of the discrepancy. I'll look around and see what I can find from reliable sources.–CaroleHenson (talk) 03:39, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

I do see that his father was buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, for instance here. So far, I am not finding reliable sources that say that George was buried there... Find a grave and genealogical sites that are user-provided content, without editorial control, are not considered reliable sources. Still looking, though...–CaroleHenson (talk) 03:53, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
