The reason given for deletion was that the person doesn't match the notability criteria.
Geert Broeckaert is notable enough to stay on Wikipedia because
1) he is a former player of the Belgian national football team
2) He has been first team manager (and assistant manager) of Excelsior Mouscron, a First divisionfootball team.
3) He has has been 3 times voted as Player of the Year of Cercle Brugge. An archive of these award winners is on the Cercle Brugge page. Deletion would make this archive incomplete. (It will be completed in the long term)
4) Broeckaert has played 375 matches for Cercle Brugge, the 2nd most ever. There is a top 10 of players with most matches played for Cercle Brugge is on the team page. Deletion would make this top 10 incomplete. (It will be completed in the long term)
