List of films
editI think this article would be greatly improved if someone bothered to make a list of films that Garry has directed. His sister's page has one as do other directors. I may do it tomorrow when I'm less tired ;) Naysie 13:19, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
>>> There would be a hellova lotta turkeys on that list. Ever seen "God Squad"?
BLP status change
editDue to the death of this person, the BLP status of this article has changed. This does not mean that unsourced material that would contravene the Biography of Living Persons rules can be added to this article Capitalistroadster (talk) 03:24, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Addition to his acting list
editSilly me. I found out about Gary's death tonight (gutted), and I was looking up what year Twilight of the Golds was made and realized it wasn't on his acting-credits list. So I added it, but I forgot to make it italicized. And now I can't edit the change, presumably because of the status change on the page, due to his passing. It should've occurred to me it would be somewhat locked for that reason.
Will someone who has the authority fix the italics when you have a moment? Thanks. CleverTitania (talk) 08:36, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Born in the Bronx
editI knew he was born and raised in the Bronx, but which neighborhood? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:43, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Infobox image
editI'm glad Stemoc was able to find a clearer photo of Marshall that needed much less editing to be suitable for the infobox. That said, I'm not sure that photo is the best choice, only because it is clearly a photo taken after Marshall's stroke. Because of the obvious left-sided, post-stroke paralysis on Marshall's face, the image isn't, in my opinion, a good and immediately recognizable representation of Marshall. If almost looks like another person. He was fairly active on-screen in his acting until late in life, so it seems to me that as recent a photo as possible that is immediately recognizable would be called for. Thoughts? -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 14:20, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Since no one spoke up, including Stemoc, I have found a better photo, uploaded it to Commons, and replaced the other photo I mentioned above with a better photo. It was taken at the same event, but has a better angle, better lighting, and looks more like Marshall pre-stroke. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 18:10, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
- The issue with that image Winkelvi is that its grainy (too grainy), i uploaded it to my PC yesterday and tried fixing it, i could not, so i avoided it..I'd rather we used the best quality image we have of his than a poor grainy low quality image even if it may have a better angle thus why i added this image instead..--Stemoc 16:22, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, it's a bit grainy, Stemoc. But the other photo is just not flattering to the man at all. Grainy is one thing. Somewhat unrecognizable and really unattractive is another. Especially for a reader who's looking for a photo that will help them better understand who the person is/was. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 16:24, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- uhm, we have IMDb for that ...lol--Stemoc 16:34, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

Discussion re: contested edits
editRequesting that MisterAnthony discuss his rationale behind the edits he keeps insisting on, even though the unofficial consensus among several editors has indicated those edits are not appropriate or the best choice(s) for the article. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 03:41, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
Incorrect picture of a British actor
editThere are a number of actors and directors that have the name Gary Marshal in some spelling (one or two Rs and/or Ls). The publicity still from That Girl that I removed from the article is a picture of the British actor known as Gary Marshal (I) on IMDB; he is best known for his role in Camelot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdulcey (talk • contribs) 03:25, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
