G. Lynn Nelson should be a part of Wikipedia, the Online encyclopedia for multiple reasons. The first being that he has a published book, Writing and Being: Embracing Your Life through Creative Journaling, which was distributed by Inner Ocean Publishing in 2004. G. Lynn Nelson has also done many things for the pedagogy of writing in the College and High School classrooms. Nelson was the President of the Greater Phoenix Area Writing Project (GPAWP), and co-founded the Young Adult Writing Project (YAWP) in Arizona for younger students. There is also a fit of controversy around his style of teaching, and his use of Native-American traditions, such as the feather circle, and his decision to make "Native-American only" classes at Arizona State University. There are multiple articles about him in "FIRE" (The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education), which elaborate on the uproar surrounding Native-American only writing classes.
